Meet Our President

Welcome to the official website of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc®.,  Alpha Gamma Omicron Omega Chapter. It is an honor and privilege to serve as the first President of this dynamic chapter and to bring greetings on behalf of the women who serve Farmington Hills, Michigan, and surrounding communities.

Chartered on December 15, 2024, the Alpha Gamma Omicron Omega chapter made history as the first member of the National Pan-Hellenic Council to establish a presence in the Detroit suburb of Farmington Hills, Michigan. As communities change, so do the needs of their residents, and this chapter was established to ensure that those diverse needs continue to be met.

As one of more than 1000 chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® worldwide, we work tirelessly to execute the programs of the “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” administration, established by International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed. Since its beginning on January 15, 1908, the mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® has been to be of “Service to All Mankind” and the Alpha Gamma Omicron Omega Chapter is poised to continue the mission by serving with an unwavering commitment to excellence and service.

Uplift Our Local Community

Our Prom Boutique & Shopping Experience was nothing short of magical!

This unforgettable day gave local high school students the royal treatment they deserved. From personalized gown shopping with our fabulous personal shoppers, to a posh pink styling suite, sparkling accessories, and sweet treats - each detail was crafted with care and love.

Our favorite moment? Seeing the pure joy as each teen stepped into our pink rope photo area and declared, “I said yes to the dress!” We were honored to serve our community in such a meaningful way.
